Welcome to Stoic films fund raiser project. This fund raiser is to help Stoic films fully produce a 25- 30 min film to be shot right here in Christchurch. The funding will be used to help pay for food & beverage for actors and crew while shooting on some locations. It will also assist Stoic films in taking about week or two aside from our normal clients jobs and help us focus on what we do best.

The only way this movie can be described without giving away its plot, it to say just a few things. This films will have small amount of drama, thriller/horror. its pretty much about how we sometimes don’t stop to enjoy life due to work and other commitments. (Sounds a little dull?) I can promise you it’s not! as sometimes life will throw us a few curve balls and pull us out of our comfort zone and not always in the way we chose.

Sadly Stoic films does not have the funding of it’s own nature to support what it requires.

So how can you help?

Simple! There are two ways of assisting this project.

1 If you want to invest some funding due to kindness and support? email me and I can give you the banking details, your support will in the movie credits!

2 If you have anything just sitting around that you no longer use or need that could be some else’s treasure (so to speak) and your happy to donate the item to me, I will place it on Trade me and use the winners bid as the funding.

Thanks to those who have forwarded with items that have already sold. Your kindness and good will keeps the idea alive.

Why not apply for funding with NZONAIR? or other funding film committee’s?

Sadly, its not that easy.. and I don’t want this film being dependant on whether any funding department like it or not. I want to prove that this city of Christchurch support’s visual artists like myself in achieving its goals, so I do need your help!

When will the production begin?

I want to start shooting at the end of Oct 2012. It will require several weeks as the main actors and crew won’t be paid a full time wage (unless I do achieve a good amount of funding) which means they still need to do their own jobs or at least only part time.

How much funding is required?

My current goal is $5000. And if anyone in this business knows.. that bugger all! think of it this way..Movie like Paranormal activity was produced with funding of $10,000 USD. and that was only 2 actors and alot of editing.

If can get more funds then that will allow me to get the production done faster.

I will be updating more progress of the project with regards to where the premiere will be released.
